Compton Traffic Scheme - Traffic Regulation Order
The Parish Council has now been advised that the TRO (Traffic Regulation Order) statutory consultation regarding SCC’s traffic calming proposals is currently anticipated to take place between late summer and early autumn. At this stage there is no confirmed date.
We understand that the reason for the delay is because the design had to be looked at again to see if it was possible to remove speed cushions, and the conclusion was that this could not be done. This then led to the road safety and appendix one being delayed. The TRO cannot be submitted until appendix one has been approved and therefore the timeline has had to be reviewed.
The statutory consultation will be widely publicised. The Parish Council and local residents will be notified in advance once dates are confirmed, so everyone will have the opportunity to review the proposals and submit any comments of support or objections.
The timeline on Commonplace has also been updated which can be viewed here : https://comptonvillage.commonplace.is/en-GB/timeline. If there are any other updates to timelines they will be reflected there too.
The Placemaking team will also be uploading detailed FAQs for the scheme in the next couple of weeks, which, it is hoped, will answer a lot of questions residents may have.

Annual Parish Meeting - Follow Up - Notice

Thank you very much for coming to our Annual Parish meeting last week, and for your valuable engagement in the topics we discussed. It was very good to receive your supportive comments with regard to the proposed Neighbourhood Plan and we will come back to you soon with more information on this and how you can get involved if you wish to.
We promised to act on your very strong views on Loseley’s work in Bummoor Copse and we asked you to let us have your comments via an email set up specifically for that purpose. However, unfortunately, there has been some unexplained illegal activity on that account and it has been permanently blocked, which means that we cannot access or reply to your emails.
Please would you re-send them to joanna.cadman@compton-pc.gov.uk and they will be responded to immediately.
